The World Architecture Festival held a student competition seeking alternative solutions for SOS-designated areas in selected cities. Focusing on Tarlabaşı, Istanbul, we proposed a participatory system, ‘Demo+Critic+Urbanism,’ reprogramming unused and non-listed buildings as community houses to address unmet needs in existing structures. Our concept reached the final four, and we had the opportunity to present it at WAF in Barcelona.
