In contrast to 19th-century energy production, which relied heavily on burning fuels, our approach for this competition project harnesses the natural power of algae to purify air, clean water, and generate usable byproducts sustainably. We developed a machine to embody this concept, enveloped in a striking red, balloon-like structure that hovers above the green algae farm. The resulting design resembles a factory landscape, yet with a distinctly greener, more environmentally harmonious character—an industrial yet sustainable vision for the future. Our design was selected for publication in a book, recognizing its innovative approach and contribution to sustainable design discourse.
