The Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul organized a series of design activities titled ‘Co-Design’ from 20 September to 20 November 2018, aligning with major design events of the year, such as the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial and Turkey Design Week. Under the theme of Livability, one of the Co-Design sessions focused on creating a safe bike lane between Karaköy and Fındıklı in Beyoğlu. The two-day workshop began with route exploration, followed by a collaborative design session to envision a model bike lane that prioritizes safety and accessibility. Several key decision-makers and professionals from diverse fields contributed to this workshop, bringing unique perspectives to the project.
